YOUR VISIT
The Festival Theatre is an open-air venue set in a magical location of the award-winning gardens of Hever Castle in Kent. It offers a wide selection of shows with something to suit all ages and most tastes.

The theatre is fully covered, with a transparent auditorium roof and open sides. So it really is the best of both worlds, the chance to enjoy a spectacular outdoor setting and first rate show, with protection from the elements and an intimacy not normally associated with outdoor events.

You can enter the grounds from 6.30pm for evening performances, bring a picnic, eat in the Castle Restaurant or simply wander through the magnificent gardens. For matinee performances, you can arrive up to 30 minutes before the performance starts and remain in the gardens after the performance until 6pm. If you wish to extend your visit and enjoy the castle gardens before a theatre performance you will need to purchase a reduced rate castle gardens ticket at the time of booking your theatre ticket.

Please note a joint theatre and gardens ticket allows entry to the castle gardens only on the day of the performance during the advertised castle opening hours.

If you do visit Hever Castle during the day that you are coming to an evening performance, you will need to ensure that you are parked in Lakeview Car Park which is the one we use for Theatre guests. You can mention this to the Castle car park attendants when you arrive, but if it is not possible at that time you will simply need to move your car at 6pm when the Castle closes. Do remember to move your car as Lakeview car park is much closer for you to walk to at the end of the evening, plus the Castle locks its other car parks at the end of each day and access would not be possible until the following morning.

Guide dogs only.
